In the British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings auction, the work The kitchen window changed hands for GBP 1,195.00 (€ 1,788.81) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Bucknell Russell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Salmon on a river bank in October 2000 with an auction result of GBP 11,750.00 (€ 20,084.11).
