The work Three Sunflowers by John Bratby was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in April last year. It achieved a price of GBP 10,837.50 (€ 12,923.34), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 55%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Bratby - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With Oranges, which sold at auction in June 2017 for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,858.47).

Die Arbeit Three Sunflowers von John Bratby wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 10.837,50 (€ 12.923,34) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 55%. Für andere Arbeiten von John Bratby mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life With Oranges beobachtet, die im Juni 2017 für GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.858,47) versteigert wurde.
