In February 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The Old Pond by John Berney Ladbrooke. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,345.06), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Berney Ladbrooke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Water Frolic On The River Bure At Wroxham, Norfolk in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 52,850.00 (€ 66,804.17).

Im Februar 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Old Pond von John Berney Ladbrooke zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.345,06) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Berney Ladbrooke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Water Frolic On The River Bure At Wroxham, Norfolk im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.850,00 (€ 66.804,17).
