In March 2013 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Art, which included the work A View Near Woodbridge, With Two Horses By A Pond, A Windmill Beyond by John Berney Crome. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,630.99), 58% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Berney Crome - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Thames at Northfleet, which sold at auction in November 2008 for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,357.77).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.630,99) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von John Berney Crome mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Thames at Northfleet beobachtet, die im November 2008 für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 14.357,77) versteigert wurde.
