Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Still Life with Lucky Bamboo by John Bellany was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in July this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,400.00 (€ 7,466.86). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Bellany achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fishermen In The Snow in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 106,250.00 (€ 125,364.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Still Life with Lucky Bamboo von John Bellany wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.400,00 (€ 7.466,86) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Bellany erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fishermen In The Snow im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 106.250,00 (€ 125.364,55).
