Here, the upper estimate of AUD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 3,290.00 (€ 1,910.90). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Barr Clarke Hoyte - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian a View Of The Heads From Balmoral And Scene Within Port Jackson, which sold at auction in August 2008 for AUD 6,600.00 (€ 3,852.74).
