Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Bonhams in London held the auction Travel & Exploration Sale, which included the work A sailing boat entering the Sounds, New Zealand by John Barr Clarke Hoyte. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,792.00 (€ 2,085.58) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Other works by John Barr Clarke Hoyte have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2008 the work Australian a View Of The Heads From Balmoral And Scene Within Port Jackson was auctioned for AUD 6,600.00 (€ 3,852.74).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.792,00 (€ 2.085,58) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00.
