Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by John Armleder achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in December last year. In the Art contemporain auction, the work Sans titre sold for EUR 40,320.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Armleder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chabasite in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 198,473.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von John Armleder erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art contemporain wurde die Arbeit Sans titre für EUR 40.320,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Armleder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chabasite im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 198.473,28).
