It achieved a price of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,715.79), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Anthony Puller - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Four Seasons, which sold at auction in January 2012 for USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,139.89).

Die Arbeit Fisherfolk working on the shore; and Figures by a river, a landscape beyond von John Anthony Puller kam im Januar 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.715,79) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Für andere Arbeiten von John Anthony Puller mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Four Seasons beobachtet, die im Januar 2012 für USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.139,89) versteigert wurde.
