Auction result misses estimated price range
In June this year a collector was able to acquire the work Children playing with seaweed at the water's edge on Skagen beach by Johannes Wilhjelm for DKK 35,000.00 (€ 4,698.72). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, drawings and icons at Bruun Rasmussen and was even below the estimate range of DKK 40,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johannes Wilhjelm - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On Skagen Beach, which sold at auction in June 2003 for GBP 11,352.50 (€ 16,314.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Children playing with seaweed at the water's edge on Skagen beach von Johannes Wilhjelm für DKK 35.000,00 (€ 4.698,72) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, drawings and icons bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 40.000,00 – 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Johannes Wilhjelm mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit On Skagen Beach beobachtet, die im Juni 2003 für GBP 11.352,50 (€ 16.314,16) versteigert wurde.
