The price achieved of GBP 11,352.50 (€ 16,314.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, On Skagen Beach is the most expensive artwork by Johannes Wilhjelm that we have observed at auctions so far.
