Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work A view of a coast with a dolmen by Johannes Wilhjelm was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 3,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,000.00 (€ 133.99). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Wilhjelm achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On Skagen Beach in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 11,352.50 (€ 16,314.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit A view of a coast with a dolmen von Johannes Wilhjelm im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 3.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.000,00 (€ 133,99) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johannes Wilhjelm erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit On Skagen Beach im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.352,50 (€ 16.314,16).
