Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Johannes Vollevens I could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in February 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction, the work Portrait Of A Lady, Three-Quarter Length changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,630.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johannes Vollevens I - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A market scene with two boys by a vegetable seller making lace, the St. Jorispoort in Dordrecht beyond, which sold at auction in May 2003 for EUR 14,340.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Johannes Vollevens I konnte im Februar 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Three-Quarter Length für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.630,17) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Johannes Vollevens I mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A market scene with two boys by a vegetable seller making lace, the St. Jorispoort in Dordrecht beyond beobachtet, die im Mai 2003 für EUR 14.340,00 versteigert wurde.
