Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS INCL. COPIES AFTER OMPIX, which included the work A cat eating from a haddock on an earthenware strainer on a table by Johannes Kuveenis. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,800.00 – 3,600.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,820.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Johannes Kuveenis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Apples, pears, a melon, a bucket with gherkins and a basket with grapes, peaches and artichokes, all on a wooden table with four lapwings in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 17,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS INCL. COPIES AFTER OMPIX durch, in der auch die Arbeit A cat eating from a haddock on an earthenware strainer on a table von Johannes Kuveenis zur Versteigerung kam.
