Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rest by the watermill by Johannes Gijsbertus van Ravenswaay was sold in the British and European Art Online auction at Bonhams in London in September this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,920.00 (€ 1,920.00) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johannes Gijsbertus van Ravenswaay - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dutch A Rest By The Watermill, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,647.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rest by the watermill von Johannes Gijsbertus van Ravenswaay wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion British and European Art Online bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.920,00 (€ 1.920,00) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00.
