Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Johannes Duntze achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2016. In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work Dutch skaters On The Canal sold for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 46,766.49) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Johannes Duntze; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Skaters at a Dutch hamlet sold at auction in September 2007 with the realized price of GBP 34,100.00 (€ 48,896.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Johannes Duntze erzielte im Dezember 2016 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings wurde die Arbeit Dutch skaters On The Canal für GBP 40.000,00 (€ 46.766,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Johannes Duntze; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Skaters at a Dutch hamlet im September 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 34.100,00 (€ 48.896,89).
