In December this year Bruun Rasmussen held the auction Modern art and design, which included the work Jacob wrestling with the angel by Johannes Clausen Bjerg. The »bidding war« ended at DKK 8,500.00 (€ 1,140.30), 70% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johannes Clausen Bjerg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work “Pan på trekantet plint” (Pan on triangular plinth), 1919 in March this year with an auction result of DKK 500,000.00 (€ 67,098.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bruun Rasmussen die Auktion Modern art and design durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jacob wrestling with the angel von Johannes Clausen Bjerg zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von DKK 8.500,00 (€ 1.140,30) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johannes Clausen Bjerg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit “Pan på trekantet plint” (Pan on triangular plinth), 1919 im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 500.000,00 (€ 67.098,97).
