In February 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors - Style & Spirit, which included the work Twelve botanical studies from Phytanthoza iconographia by Johann Wilhelm Weinmann. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,239.27), 53% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Wilhelm Weinmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Phytanthoza iconographia, Regensberg, 1735-1745 in May last year with an auction result of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 51,879.45).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 53 % übertroffen

Im Februar 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors - Style & Spirit durch, in der auch die Arbeit Twelve botanical studies from Phytanthoza iconographia von Johann Wilhelm Weinmann zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.239,27) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johann Wilhelm Weinmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Phytanthoza iconographia, Regensberg, 1735-1745 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 51.879,45).
