Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Phytanthoza Iconographia: Three Plates by Johann Wilhelm Weinmann was sold in the The House Sale auction at Christies in New York in September 2003. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,585.00 (€ 2,172.73). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Wilhelm Weinmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Phytanthoza iconographia, Regensberg, 1735-1745 in May last year with an auction result of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 51,879.45).
