Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Wilhelm Weinmann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Phytanthoza iconographia, Regensberg, 1735-1745 in May last year with an auction result of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 51,879.45).

Die Arbeit Phytanthoza Iconographia: Six Plates von Johann Wilhelm Weinmann kam im Oktober 2005 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.040,00 (€ 1.700,71) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 36%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johann Wilhelm Weinmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Phytanthoza iconographia, Regensberg, 1735-1745 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 51.879,45).
