Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A lady, in profile to left, in dress with fichu, drop pearl earring and wearing a bonnet with a ribbon by Johann Jakob Müller was sold in the Objects of Vertu and Portrait Miniatures auction at Christies in London in March 2002. The price achieved of GBP 176.25 (€ 288.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150.00 – 200.00. Admittedly, works by Johann Jakob Müller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selbstporträt des Künstlers, 1795. in September 2009 with an auction result of CHF 1,920.00 (€ 1,264.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A lady, in profile to left, in dress with fichu, drop pearl earring and wearing a bonnet with a ribbon von Johann Jakob Müller wurde im März 2002 in der Auktion Objects of Vertu and Portrait Miniatures bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 176,25 (€ 288,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150,00 – 200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johann Jakob Müller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selbstporträt des Künstlers, 1795. im September 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 1.920,00 (€ 1.264,86).
