Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work A group of goats resting in a landscape, a castle in the distance by Johann Heinrich Roos for USD 1,680.00 (€ 1,381.81). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & 19th Century Drawings at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Heinrich Roos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Huntsman Firing A Pistol In A Rocky Landscape in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 42,000.00 (€ 32,312.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A group of goats resting in a landscape, a castle in the distance von Johann Heinrich Roos für USD 1.680,00 (€ 1.381,81) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Drawings bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johann Heinrich Roos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Huntsman Firing A Pistol In A Rocky Landscape im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 42.000,00 (€ 32.312,66).
