Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Landscape with figures by a creek by Johann Christian Brand for SEK 7,000.00 (€ 697.14). This price was achieved in the auction Important Winter Sale at Bukowski in Stockholm and was even below the estimate range of SEK 10,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Christian Brand achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gegenstücke: Hirten mit Kühen und Ziegen in weiten Landschaften. 1792. in March 2014 with an auction result of CHF 18,000.00 (€ 14,779.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Landscape with figures by a creek von Johann Christian Brand für SEK 7.000,00 (€ 697,14) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Winter Sale bei Bukowski in Stockholm erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 10.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johann Christian Brand erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gegenstücke: Hirten mit Kühen und Ziegen in weiten Landschaften. 1792. im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 18.000,00 (€ 14.779,41).
