Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Landscape With Peasants Walking Near A River At Dusk by Johann Bernhard Klombeck was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in February 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,212.25). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johann Bernhard Klombeck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A wooded winter landscape with travellers on a snow covered path and skaters on the ice in November 2011 with an auction result of EUR 133,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Landscape With Peasants Walking Near A River At Dusk von Johann Bernhard Klombeck im Februar 2013 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.212,25) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johann Bernhard Klombeck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A wooded winter landscape with travellers on a snow covered path and skaters on the ice im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 133.000,00.
