Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The food is ready. by Johan von Holst was auctioned at Bukowski in December this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 12,000.00 (€ 1,079.37). Admittedly, works by Johan von Holst have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In the doghouse in December 2012 with an auction result of SEK 50,000.00 (€ 5,824.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The food is ready. von Johan von Holst im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bukowski versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 12.000,00 (€ 1.079,37) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johan von Holst auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In the doghouse im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 50.000,00 (€ 5.824,36).
