Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work View from a habour with sailing ships under a red skye by Johan Neumann was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in Paintings, furniture and varia in September this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,500.00 (€ 201.11). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johan Neumann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shipping off Copenhagen in December 2005 with an auction result of GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,786.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit View from a habour with sailing ships under a red skye von Johan Neumann im September diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen in Paintings, furniture and varia versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.500,00 (€ 201,11) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johan Neumann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shipping off Copenhagen im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.786,77).
