Auction result fails to reach estimate
In September this year a collector was able to acquire the work Scenery at Kronborg on a quiet evening by Johan Neumann for DKK 1,800.00 (€ 241.33). This price was achieved in the auction {} at Bruun Rasmussen in Paintings, furniture and varia and was even lower than the DKK 3,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johan Neumann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shipping off Copenhagen in December 2005 with an auction result of GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,786.77).
