In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work Bird On A Branch by Johan Matthias Wurzer. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,446.19) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Johan Matthias Wurzer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gegenstücke. Zwei Stilleben mit Blumen in Glasvasen, Früchten und Insekten auf einer Marmorplatte. in September 2007 with an auction result of CHF 240,000.00 (€ 144,600.89).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bird On A Branch von Johan Matthias Wurzer zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 4.446,19) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Johan Matthias Wurzer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gegenstücke. Zwei Stilleben mit Blumen in Glasvasen, Früchten und Insekten auf einer Marmorplatte. im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 240.000,00 (€ 144.600,89).
