In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work A Young Boy In A Summer Landscape sold for EUR 3,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johann Friedrich Engel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a young boy in liederhösen, which sold at auction in March 2004 for GBP 5,736.00 (€ 8,586.27).

In der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings wurde die Arbeit A Young Boy In A Summer Landscape für EUR 3.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Johann Friedrich Engel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of a young boy in liederhösen beobachtet, die im März 2004 für GBP 5.736,00 (€ 8.586,27) versteigert wurde.
