Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Norwegian landscape In Norway by Johan Fredrik Eckersberg for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,107.36). This price was achieved in the auction European Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Johan Fredrik Eckersberg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Madeira in April 2000 with an auction result of GBP 18,212.50 (€ 31,179.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Norwegian landscape In Norway von Johan Fredrik Eckersberg für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.107,36) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion European Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johan Fredrik Eckersberg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Madeira im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.212,50 (€ 31.179,06).
