However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johan Creten - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Why does Strange Fruit always look so Sweet ? - 1999-2010, which sold at auction in June this year for EUR 52,480.00.

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 13.750,00 und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Johan Creten mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Why does Strange Fruit always look so Sweet ? - 1999-2010 beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für EUR 52.480,00 versteigert wurde.
