This artwork by Johan Christian Clausen Dahl achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2017. In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work Norwegian moonlit Landscape sold for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,705.50) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Johan Christian Clausen Dahl have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View Of Dresden From The Road To Meissen in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 240,000.00 (€ 184,643.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Johan Christian Clausen Dahl erzielte im Juni 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings wurde die Arbeit Norwegian moonlit Landscape für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 42.705,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Johan Christian Clausen Dahl auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View Of Dresden From The Road To Meissen im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 240.000,00 (€ 184.643,79).
