In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work Norwegian moonlit Landscape sold for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,705.50) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Johan Christian Clausen Dahl have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View Of Dresden From The Road To Meissen in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 240,000.00 (€ 184,643.79).
