Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ølyo Farm, Valdres by Johan Christian Clausen Dahl was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 60,480.00 (€ 72,223.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Johan Christian Clausen Dahl - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View Of Dresden From The Road To Meissen , which sold at auction in January 2007 for USD 240,000.00 (€ 184,643.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ølyo Farm, Valdres von Johan Christian Clausen Dahl kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 60.480,00 (€ 72.223,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
