In July 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings - Day Sale, which included the work A view of the Piazzetta, Venice, with the Columns of Saints Mark and Theodore and the Library, the entrance to the Grand Canal with the Punta della Dogana and Santa Maria della Salute beyond by Johan Anton Richter. The result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,476.50) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00.
