Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Self Portrait) by Jogen Chowdhury was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2020. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,246.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jogen Chowdhury achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Day Dreaming" in June 2009 with an auction result of GBP 373,250.00 (€ 437,996.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Self Portrait) von Jogen Chowdhury kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 4.246,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jogen Chowdhury erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Day Dreaming" im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 373.250,00 (€ 437.996,36).
