This artwork by Joey Steigelman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in August 2019. In the Inside Job: Christie's Staff Art Show auction, the work Light Box XVI sold for USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,365.00) - well above the upper estimate of USD 600.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Joey Steigelman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Dusk sold at auction in August 2019 with the realized price of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,275.00).
