The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,250.00 63% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Joep Nicolas; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot De Judaskus - The Judaskiss sold at auction in March 2002 with the realized price of EUR 3,290.00.
