Auction result misses estimated price range
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Pink Money Snake) by Joel Mesler for USD 5,715.00 (€ 5,256.62). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction at Phillips and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joel Mesler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work To Life in May last year with an auction result of USD 907,200.00 (€ 845,401.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Pink Money Snake) von Joel Mesler für USD 5.715,00 (€ 5.256,62) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction bei Phillips erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joel Mesler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit To Life im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 907.200,00 (€ 845.401,17).
