In the Art in Focus auction, the work The Writer changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,833.85) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jocelyn Hobbie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spider Web And Blonde in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 34,030.80).
