Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2019 Artcurial in Monte-Carlo held the auction Monaco Sculptures, which included the work O Formoso - 2007 by Joana Vasconcelos. It changed hands for a price of EUR 39,000.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joana Vasconcelos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Carmen Miranda in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 229,250.00 (€ 264,328.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2019 führte Artcurial in Monte-Carlo die Auktion Monaco Sculptures durch, in der auch die Arbeit O Formoso - 2007 von Joana Vasconcelos zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 39.000,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joana Vasconcelos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Carmen Miranda im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 229.250,00 (€ 264.328,85).
