Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Phillips in an online auction held the auction Land, Sea, Sky: Online Auction, which included the work Material World Book by Joana Vasconcelos. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 813.00 (€ 895.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joana Vasconcelos achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Carmen Miranda in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 229,250.00 (€ 264,328.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2020 führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Land, Sea, Sky: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Material World Book von Joana Vasconcelos zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 813,00 (€ 895,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joana Vasconcelos erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Carmen Miranda im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 229.250,00 (€ 264.328,85).
