In June last year Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Joan Cornellà. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 441,000.00 (€ 53,666.44), 70% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Joan Cornellà have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work CCTV (Orange) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 444,000.00 (€ 453,410.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Joan Cornellà zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 441.000,00 (€ 53.666,44) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joan Cornellà auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit CCTV (Orange) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 444.000,00 (€ 453.410,87).
