Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June last year Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale, which included the work SlimyDunk by Joan Cornellà. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 882,000.00 (€ 107,332.89). Admittedly, works by Joan Cornellà have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work CCTV (Orange) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 444,000.00 (€ 453,410.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit SlimyDunk von Joan Cornellà zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 882.000,00 (€ 107.332,89) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joan Cornellà auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit CCTV (Orange) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 444.000,00 (€ 453.410,87).
