Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Adoration Of The Shepherds by Joachim Beuckelaer was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000 - 60,000, the actual price achieved of USD 43,750 (€ 33,517) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joachim Beuckelaer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Four Elements: A Greengrocer's Stall with the Flight into Egypt beyond - an Allegory of Earth; A Fishmonger's Stall in a town with the Miraculous Draught of Fishes beyond - an Allegory of Water; A Poultry Stall in a town with the Prodigal Son bey in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 2,973,750 (€ 4
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Adoration Of The Shepherds von Joachim Beuckelaer wurde im Januar 2012 in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 33.517,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joachim Beuckelaer erzielen.
