Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included this untitled work by Jo Jong-Sung. The price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 5,056.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 35,000.00 – 55,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jo Jong-Sung - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Landscape from Moving Vantage Points, which sold at auction in May 2015 for HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,933.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jo Jong-Sung zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 5.056,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 35.000,00 – 55.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jo Jong-Sung mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Landscape from Moving Vantage Points beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.933,74) versteigert wurde.
