In November 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Bird and Flower Calligraphy by Jin Zhang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 81,250.00 (€ 8,056.30), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jin Zhang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers In Two Screens, which sold at auction in October 2021 for HKD 180,000.00 (€ 20,022.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im November 2012 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bird and Flower Calligraphy von Jin Zhang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 8.056,30) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jin Zhang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers In Two Screens beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für HKD 180.000,00 (€ 20.022,51) versteigert wurde.
