A top price for Jin Xihou
In April 2015 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas, which included the work Nine-Character Couplet In Bronze Inscription by Jin Xihou. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 63,250.00 (€ 7,309.85), 58% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Nine-Character Couplet In Bronze Inscription the most expensive artwork by Jin Xihou that we have observed at auctions so far.
