This artwork by Jim Shaw achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California auction, the work Horror A Vacui, 1991 sold for USD 15,300.00 (€ 15,639.37) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jim Shaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dr. Goldfoot And His Bikini Bombs in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 206,500.00 (€ 161,126.72).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jim Shaw erzielte im September letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California wurde die Arbeit Horror A Vacui, 1991 für USD 15.300,00 (€ 15.639,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00.
