Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Couplet In Running Script by Jiang Ren was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2014. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,258.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jiang Ren achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Small Characters in Standard-Running Script in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 3,940,000.00 (€ 424,200.71).

Die Arbeit Couplet In Running Script von Jiang Ren wurde im März 2014 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.258,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jiang Ren erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Small Characters in Standard-Running Script im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.940.000,00 (€ 424.200,71).
