Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Los Que Comen Chapulines by Jesús Urbieta was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,033.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jesús Urbieta have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2006 the work Bodegón II was auctioned for USD 20,400.00 (€ 15,896.52).

Die Arbeit Los Que Comen Chapulines von Jesús Urbieta kam im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.033,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
